Baidoa, Somalia, 09-1992 Dead bodies wrapped in cloth lie along the road leading to Baidoa while starving refugees walk by trying to reach a food distribution center. After a yearlong civil war in Somalia, US troops finally invade the country to restore order and deliver relief supplies. The operation later ended in disaster with the US pulling out and Somalia returning to permanent civil war.
