Food Fight

Baidoa, Somalia, 09-1992 US soldiers try to coordinate the orderly distribution of food at a distribution center near Baidoa. When the crowd realizes there will not be enough for everybody, they charge, the soldiers try to push them back, but finally the crowd storms the center and fights over each bag of grain. After a yearlong civil war in Somalia, US troops finally invade the country to restore order and deliver relief supplies. The operation later ended in disaster with the US pulling out and Somalia returning to permanent civil war.
